I am Nada El Mahy, a second-year law student at The British University in Egypt (BUE), where I have achieved a perfect GPA of 4.0 in both my preparatory and degree years. My academic journey is complemented by notable achievements in moot court competitions, including the 33rd Christof Heyns African Human Rights Moot Court Competition and the Information Technology Law Moot Court, where I was honored with the Runner-Up Best Memorial award and advanced to the semi-finals and finals.
I have actively participated in the Legal Aspects of Digital Transformation Annual Conference (3rd edition) at BUE, and attended workshops on human rights and arbitration, which have enriched my understanding of these critical areas. Additionally, my role as a delegate in the Model United Nations for the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict has sharpened my skills in international diplomacy and legal analysis. I had the privilege of competing in the 33rd Christof Heyns African Human Rights Moot Court Competition held at the University of Rwanda, Kigali. Our case explored critical human rights issues, including:
As both Applicant and Respondent, alongside co-counsel Mrs. Ratania Edawi, we crafted and presented arguments for both sides. A special thanks to our coaches, Mrs. Maryam Tarek and Mrs. Norhan Mahmoud, for their guidance. Engaging with judges Prof. Laurence Burgorgue-Larsen and Hon. Justice Imani Daud Aboud was an honor. I am grateful to The British University in Egypt for this invaluable experience and to Mr. Ahmed Sayaad, Project Coordinator of the Moot Court.

I had the honor of visiting Leigh Days London office, a renowned law firm recognized for its advocacy in human rights and environmental law. During my visit, I participated in a discourse on international human rights and environmental rights, and had the privilege of discussing significant cases with Mrs. Tessa Gregory, a leading litigator in the field. Our conversation covered critical global human rights issues, including legal challenges in Rwanda related to the African Court. This experience significantly enriched my preparation for the 33rd Christof Heyns African Moot Court and deepened my understanding of these vital areas of law.
